Curtis Coughlin II is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. His research laboratory is interested in the role of altered metabolism in human disease with a focus on metabolic encephalopathies such as pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy and glutaric aciduria type I. The aim of this work is to leverage the understanding of biochemistry to improve diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for patients. He received his PhD from the University of Colorado under the mentorship of Stephen Goodman.
