Brandy Rawls-Castillo, MS, RD, LD is a registered dietitian and Clinical Program Coordinator at Texas ChildrenÕs Hospital. She brings a unique interdisciplinary background to her role, having initially worked as a medical laboratory scientist and in research laboratories before transitioning into the field of nutrition. Brandy specializes in the clinical care and research of patients across the lifespan with inborn errors of metabolism. Her areas of special interest include ultra-rare metabolic disorders, particularly Glycogen Storage Disease Type Ia and Urea Cycle Disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), as well as a second Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Houston.
