Gerry Lipshutz is a professor of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology, and Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research focuses on the development of gene therapy for specific metabolic disorders including arginase deficiency and guanidinoacetate methyltransferase deficiency. His work also focuses on developing a better understanding of the underlying neuropathology. He obtained an MD from UCLA and was a resident and fellow at UCSF.
