Christina L. Grant is an associate professor of Pediatrics at Children’s National Hospital in the Division of Genetics and Metabolism. In addition to caring for patients with genetic and metabolic conditions, she is the Director of the Lysosomal Storage Disease Program, her particular area of interest, and is an investigator on patient registries and clinical trials for lysosomal diseases. She manages a multidisciplinary clinic to monitor patients identified by newborn screen to be at-risk for late onset Pompe disease. Dr. Grant also serves as an advisor to newborn screening programs in Virginia and Maryland. She earned her MD and PhD degrees from the University of Connecticut; completed pediatrics residency at Northwestern University/ Lurie Children’s Hospital; and medical genetics residency and medical biochemical genetics fellowship at the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health.
