Irene Chang is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Medical Genetics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Clinical Genetics and fellowship training in Medical Biochemical Genetics at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital. She provides clinical care for individuals with inborn errors of metabolism and participates in clinical trials for lysosomal storage disorders and other metabolic disorders. Her research focuses on novel treatment paradigms and improving outcomes for patients with rare genetic disorders through early diagnosis and investigation of emerging therapies.
