1) What is the dress code for the meeting?
SIMD Meetings are more on the casual side of things compared to other meetings. Feel free to dress causual, and be sure to pack the sunscreen (for non-meeting time!), flip flops, and comfy clothes! We do recommend bringing a sweater in case the meeting room air conditioning is on.
2) What happened to the Monday night dinner?
Historically SIMD has held an optional dinner on the Monday night of the meeting. For a number of reasons, this year the executive board decided to not hold the dinner but instead allow for a time that attendees could choose to attend a satellite symposia, network with new/old friends, meet with committee or workgroup colleagues or have a snack/dinner on the beach. Enjoy but don't forget to join us for the poster session starting at 7pm.
3) What activities are available on the free Tuesday afternoon?
The island is at your service and tours or excursions can be explored through the Group Services LLC (GSI) link on the website.
