TRAVEL AWARDS

This year we will be offering travel awards in the amount of $1,000.

Travel awards are available for students and trainees at any level (doctoral, post-doctoral, resident, fellow, etc.). A limited number of travel awards are also available for junior faculty (instructor or assistant professor or equivalent level, within 5 years of beginning your first faculty position).

Individuals who wish to compete for these awards must submit their abstract as well as a letter of support from their sponsor (when the abstract is submitted). The support letter for junior faculty should affirm that the applicant is within the first five years of a faculty rank.

Trainee travel award recipients are automatically considered for the Founders Award competition at the meeting. To apply for a Travel Award, you must so indicate when you submit your abstract by selecting the radio button for Travel Award.

The abstracts are to be submitted electronically. When entering the abstract, select the radio button for Travel Award.

Deadlines
Abstracts for travel awards are due by November 30, 2025. Confirmation of submission, acceptance and/or rejection for travel awards will be communicated via email in December. If you are not selected for a travel award you will still have the option to present a poster at the meeting.

Accepted Abstracts
If your abstract is accepted for a travel award you will either be selected to give a 10 minute oral presentation on May 18th (Monday) or present a poster along with a brief 10 minute oral presentation during the Poster Session and Reception the evening of May 18th (Monday).
