What is the size of the poster for SIMD 2026?
Posters can be one of the folllowing sizes:

  • 3 feet 6 inches by 3 feet 6 inches

  • 3.5 feet by 3.5 feet

  • 42 inches by 42 inches
     

Do I need to stand by my poster?
Yes, you are expected to be present at your poster to answer questions during the Monday Night Poster Session according to this schedule:

Posters will be attended by authors from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM  Even numbered posters attended
  • 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM Odd numbered posters attended
  • 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM Feel free to visit all posters and exhibits

Poster presentations from Travel Award Winners will be 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  It will be a 10 min presentation at each poster from travel award winners attended by SIMD Founders Award Committee. Awards Committee review will be 8:00 PM to 8:15 PM.
 

When can I put up my poster?
Posters may be set up during these times:

  • Sunday 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Monday 8:30 am to 9:30 am or 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Note: Posters must be picked up before 5:00 pm on Tuesday or they will be discarded.

Posters must be picked up before 5:00 pm on Tuesday or they will be discarded.
 

How do I know my poster number?
You will be receiving a communication directly from SIMD staff of your poster number in March and a poster directory list will be posted online as we get closer to the event.
 

What if I want to print my poster in Puerto Rico and not travel with it?
SIMD does not have any formal or official options for the 2026 Annual Meeting for poster printing or print-on-demand services. The hotel does NOT have a business center.  If you wish to coordinate printing on your own, SIMD makes no guarantees of quality, service or timeliness of these vendors; however we provide them based on known services in the area. Please note due to resort location, transportation may be needed to get to and from these print vendors.

What is the embargo date for the abstracts to appear in the SIMD's Journal: Molecular Genetics and Metabolism?
At this time we anticipate the embargo date to be between May 11- May 15 depending on production schedules.
